Ray Lewis, 63, Cumberland Falls Road, Corbin, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2002 at The Heritage Nursing Home in Corbin. He was a member of the Highland Park Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Jeloise "Jaye" Lewis of Cumberland Falls Road, Corbin; four sons, Mike Lewis and wife, Jill of Williamsburg, Jeff Lewis of Corbin, Christopher Sean Lewis and wife, Tammy of Corbin, and Gary Lewis and wife, Suzanne of Cincinnati, Ohio; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Rita Collins of Colson, Lena Crase of New Carlisle, Ohio and Edna Davis of Lake Benton, Minnesota; three brothers, Walter Lewis of Cincinnati, Ohio, Herman Lewis of Goshen, Ohio, and Elmer Lewis of Sharonville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Lewis and Polly Lewis; and a brother, Delmer Lewis. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 27 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doyle Lester and Brother Ernie Gill officiating. Burial was in the Youngs Creek Cemetery. Nephews served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were the staff and residents of The Heritage Nursing Home. Croley Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. |
