Mr. Herman F. Leick, 77, a long time Corbin attorney, passed away Sunday, Feb. 2, 2003 at Baptist Medical Center. He was a son of the late W.H. and Beulah Leick.

He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific. He was a senior partner in the law firm of Leick, Hammons and Brittain. He was a former Corbin city attorney, prosecuting attorney and Whitley County attorney. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Corbin. He is survived by his wife Rebecca Parks Leick and son Matthew H. Leick, both of Corbin; one brother, William R. Leick of Corbin; two sisters, Marilyn Houston of Maryville, Tenn. and Helen Offutt of Clearwater, Fla. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday at O'Neil Funeral Home. Services will be conducted Wednesday at 8 p.m. , Feb. 5, 2003 at O' Neil Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John Dunaway and the Rev. Barry Howard officiating. A graveside service will be held at Pine Hill Cemetery Thursday at 10 a.m.
