Ella Mae Lawson, 76, Louden Road, Williamsburg, (Mulberry Community), passed away Friday, August 16, 2002 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. She was a member of the Mulberry Community Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Glenda Lawson Wilson of Williamsburg and Brenda Aileen Lawson Atchison and husband, James of Dayton, Ohio; two sons, Glennis Lawson and fiancee, Mossella White of Williamsburg and Darrell Lawson and fiancee, Carolyn Anderson of Williamsburg; seven grandchildren, Michael Noble and fiancee, Peggy Cox, Jimmy Atchison, Jeffery Atchison, Mark Lawson, Glenna Lawson, Alicia Lawson, and Jonathon Elliott; two step-grandchildren, Laura Young and Kristy Young; two great-grandchildren, Justin Noble and Jeremy Noble; one sister, Della Marie Powers of Louden Road, Williamsburg; one brother, Bennie Wayne Smith of Williamsburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Claude and Rhoda Hamblin Smith; her husband, Emerson Lawson; and a grandson, Darrell Lawson, Jr. Funeral services were held Monday, August 19 at the Jones & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerome McCullah and Rev. Bart Powers officiating. Burial followed in the Carr Cemetery at Yaden.

Pallbearers were B.J. Gerald, Jeffrey Atchison, Mike Powers, Glen Cornett, Jonathan Taylor, Matthew Taylor, Travis Tiller, and Brian Lawson. Jones & Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
