| JOHN LANE "Bird Dog" LANE, 71, was born at Bryant Store on March 1, 1928 to the late Coleman Lane and the late Henretta Miracle Lane and passed away on Saturday, July 3, 1999 in the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin. He was united in marriage to Shelby Davidson in 1952. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps, and was a coal miner and security guard. Survivors include his wife, Shelby Lane of Gray. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, July 6 at 1 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cleo Goodlett, the Rev. Arnold Petreyand the Rev. Ralph Schaffer officiating. Burial followed in the Lane Family Cemetery at Bryant Store. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
