Mrs. Tressie Jordan, age 89 of Flat Lick, KY departed this life on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 in the UK Medical Center in Lexington. She was born in Knox Co., KY on June 29, 1918 and was the daughter of George and Lillie (Mills) Bargo. On February 24, 1933 she united in marriage with George �Hoot� Jordan and to this union eight children were born. Mrs. Jordan was a member of the Dewitt Baptist Church and was a homemaker and was also the last survivor of the George Bargo family having been the oldest sibling. She loved to read the Bible, watch and listen to gospel music and loved to work in her garden. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Jordan in 1999, her parents, George and Lillie Bargo, two sons, R. J. Jordan and Terry �Cotton� Jordan and four grandchildren, Tate Jordan, Ronnie Bargo, Ricky Bargo and Tracy Tuttle, one daughter, Lillie Jordan, three brothers, Tom Bargo, Jim Leonard Bargo and R.P. Bargo and two sisters, Mary Jane Lester and Amanda Sue Shelton. Left behind to mourn her passing, one son, Arvil Jordan of Corbin, KY, four daughters, Wilma Caudill of Heidrick, KY, Dorothy Jordan of Dewitt, KY, Nina Mills and husband Lewis of Corbin, KY and Laquata Gosney and husband Carl of Lexington, KY. She also leaves behind fifteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren along with a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Funeral services for Mrs. Tressie Jordan will be conducted on Saturday, December 22, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kennon Roark and Rev. Brian Miracle officiating. Pallbearers will be: Grandsons and Grandson-in-laws and nephews of Mrs. Jordan. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Bingham and all Friends & Neighbors. Mrs. Jordan will be laid to rest in the Levi Bargo Cemetery at Salt Gum. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
