| GEORGE "Hoot" JORDON, 86, of Dewitt, was born on May 13, 1913 in Bright Shade in Clay County to Robert and Mary (Leaf) Jordan and departed this life on Wednesday, August 25, 1999 in the Knox County Hospital. On February 24, 1933 he was united in marriage with Tressie Bargo. Survivors include his wife, Tressie Jordan of Dewitt. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, August 28, at 1 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kennon Roark, the Rev. Vernon Morris and the Rev. Robert Futrell officiating. Burial followed in the Levi Bargo Cemetery at Salt Gum. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
