| RAY JONES, 69, of Greenroad, the son of the late Joe and Orlena Carpenter Jones, was born in Knox County on May 11, 1930 and departed this life in the St. Joseph Hospital East in Lexington on Thursday, July 8, 1999.He was a retired store manager. Survivors include his step-mother, Clara Jones of Greenroad. Funeral services were conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home on Monday, July 12 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Owen Smith, the Rev. Leroy Warren and the Rev. Terry Broughton officiating. Burial followed in the Jones Cemetery at Greenroad. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
