RALPH JONES
Ralph JONES, age 66, of Girdler, was born at Greenroad, Kentucky on August 25, 1942. He was a son of the late Chester Jones and Ethel Messer Jones. Mr. Jones died, Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at his home. He was a member of Horn Branch Baptist Church. Mr. Jones was a well known Knox County Carpenter and Painter. On December 14, 1963, he united in marriage to Irene Mills and to this union a beloved daughter, Lisa was born.

He is survived by his loving wife, Irene Mills Jones of Girdler; his daughter, Lisa Rice and husband, Amos of Bimble; his grandchildren; Jessica McBee and Alex Rice; his sisters; Isabelle Barker and husband, Dr. Ken Barker of Texas; Phyllis Jeanette Hubbard and husband, Mike of Bimble; his brothers; Bill Jones and wife, Margie; Ted Jones and wife, Louise; Terrell Jones and wife, Lorene all of Girdler; Robert Jones and wife, Cheryl of McKinley, Illinois; sisters-in-law; Raylene Jones of London; Eliza Smith, Cleda Smith and husband, Golden all of Woollum; brothers-in-law; Jim Mills of Girdler; Enos Mills of Woollum; Dallas and wife, Vivlee of Crane Nest; Otis Mills and wife, Irene of Ohio; special friends; Cheryl Hembree, Robert Wyatt, Lee Reeder, Sheila Brown, Diane Thomas and husband, Mike and many other dear and loving extended family and friends. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by; a sister; Hattie Rowland; brothers; Denver and McKinley Jones;his In-laws; Jim and Dora Mills; sister-in-law; Nannie Mills; and brother-in-law; Dexter Mills.

Funeral Services for Ralph Jones will be conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Owen Smith and Dr. Ken Barker officiating. Burial will follow in the Nan-Riley Cemetery at Woollum with Teddy Jones, Phillip Jones, McKinley Jones Jr., Dennis Smith, Eric Hubbard, Alvin Gambrel, and Mark Medlin, serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Rev. Dexter Smith and James Smith. Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home Friday, 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and after 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m. Hopper Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

He will be missed by his wife, daughter, two granddaughters and all family and friends.
