MAURICE RONDAL "Ronnie" JONES, 69, of Fairfield, Ohio, passed away at his residence, Wednesday, May 1, 2002 at 8:37 p.m. He was born in Corbin on January 22, 1933, the son of Jarvie and Margaret Frances (Mitchell) Jones.

He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the VFW, post 1069. Maurice retired as a supervisor from Champion International after 35 years of service, and returned to work as a UTS driver for the past five years where he enjoyed taking his passengers to various destinations. He also enjoyed fishing and various sports. He was an avid fan of the University of Kentucky Wildcats basketball team, and missed very few games. On November 8, 1968, in Hamilton, Ohio, he married Ada Hayes. He is survived by his wife, Ada Jones; step-daughter, Marlene Kingery of Fairfield, Ohio; sister-in-law, Lois (Adair) Jones of Fairfield, Ohio; brother-in-law, Roy McVay, of Latonia; one step-grandson and two step-great-grandchildren. He also leaves to cherish his memories, many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, who always had a great time being with him.

Ronnie leaves behind a devoted family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Helen (Jones) McVay; and his brother, Willis Jones.
