Alice Martin Jackson

Mrs. Alice Martin Jackson, 90, of Cannon, was born Jan. 6, 1912 in Cincinnati, and passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2002 in the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Corbin. She was the daughter of the late William David Martin and Henrietta Pernell Martin. She was a member of Sinking Valley Baptist Church and a homemaker. On May 6, 1932, she was united in marriage with Reed B. Jackson, and to this union four children were born. She is survived by one son, Kenneth R. Jackson and wife Charlene of Corbin; three daughters, Barbara Cann of Cannon, Geraldine Coers and husband Roger of Elizabeth Town, Ind., Brenda Campbell and husband Kelly of Artemus; one sister, Thelma Schlemmer of Cincinnati, Ohio; nine grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; and host of others to mourn her passing.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, March 16, 2002 in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Vernon Morris and the Rev. David Barnard officiating. Interment was in Trace Branch Community Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
