Rev. Clyde Huddleston, 87, Hanging Rock Community, Williamsburg, passed away Monday morning, July 7, 2003 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center, Corbin. He was a minister in the Whitley County area for over 60 years and a lifetime member of the Hanging Rock Baptist Church since 1936. He was ordained a Baptist minister in 1943 and over that period of time he pastored the following churches: Rock Springs, Pleasant Hill twice, Ryan's Creek, Louden twice, Sutton's Mill, Hanging Rock, Patterson Creek, Goldbug and Nevisdale twice.

Survivors include five sons, Rev. Lowell Huddleston and wife, Carrie of Walden Post Office Rd., Corbin, Rev. Stanley Huddleston and wife, Deborah of Williamsburg, Rev. Marshell Huddleston and wife, Ada of Shepherdsville, Rev. Robert Huddleston and wife, Judy of Dry Ridge, and Clayton Huddleston and wife, Mary of Elizabethtown; three daughters, Retha Jane Davis and husband, Robert Lee of Summerfield, Florida, Freeda Berniece Chapman and husband, George of Jellico, Tennessee, and Charlona Shorer of Cincinnati, Ohio; 23 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marie Womack of Williamsburg and Stella Redeckie and husband, John of London; three brothers, Jess Huddleston and wife, Carrie of Rockholds, Raymond Huddleston and wife, Juanita of Indiana and Charlie Huddleston of Indiana; also several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Mae Huddleston and a daughter, Terry Katherine Faulkner.

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 10 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Peace, Rev. Arnold Petrey and Rev. Leonard Siler officiating. Burial was in the Croley Addition - Highland Park Cemetery.
