'Rusty' Millard F. HIBBARD

Rusty Millard F. Hibbard 1-8-1923 to 6-4-2007 Born in Knox County, Ky., he joined the Army upon graduating from high school May 21, 1941. At the end of WWII, he relocated to Detroit, Mich. working for U.S. Rubber, in development. After one year with the Y12 program in Oak Ridge, Tenn., he relocated to Palm Beach County in 1959 working for United Technologies Pratt &Whitney until his retirement April 30, 1986. Throughout his life, he had a love of flying and was a flight instructor in both Palm Beach and Martin County from 1960 to 1996. Proceeded in death by his parents, Nell Martin and James Hibbard, Barbourville, Ky.; his only sister, Ruby Miracle, Dayton, Ohio; his only brother, Harold, Dayton, Ohio and his oldest son, James R. Hibbard, Lake Park, Fla. He is survived by five children: Mary Brooks, Tallahassee, Fla; Sherry Howard Foster, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; Russell Karen Hibbard, Lake Worth, Fla.; Patrick F. Hibbard, Cairo, Ga. and Teresa Rick Mattson, Ormond Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren and two great-grandsons. At his request, there will be no service at this time. Upon the scattering of his ashes over the Atlantic Ocean where he flew, boated and scuba-dived, there will be a private family service. Contributions may be made in his memory to Easter Seals.
