Evelyn Chadwell Hibbard, 90, Corbin, formerly of Lexington, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2003 after a long illness. She was the widow of Leo W. Hibbard, Sr.

She had attended Calvary Baptist Church at Lexington and was a member of Central Baptist Church of Corbin. She had belonged to the Business and Professional Women's Club, the Forsythia Garden Club, Order of the Eastern Star. Evelyn was a former member of the Lexington Homemakers and West Corbin Homemakers; she had taught Sunday School and been a Girl Scout leader for Troop 180.

Her warm smile and kind, loving nature will be truly missed.

Survivors include two sisters, Louise Wooster and Ruth Bolton of Ohio; a brother, Tollie Chadwell, Jr. of Corbin; three sons, Leo W. Hibbard, Jr., Henry Tollie Hibbard, and James Michael Hibbard, Sr. of Lexington; two daughters, Yvonne Hibbard Rooney of Ohio and Judy Hibbard of Corbin; eight grandsons, three granddaughters, eight great-grandsons and three great-granddaughters.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 2 at the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Memorials may be given to Central Baptist Church.

O'Neil Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
