Cecil Glen Hammons, 74, of Barbourville, a son of the late John and Ella Mae Smith Hammons, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2003 in Knox County Hospital. He was a protestant and a retired security guard.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta Payne Hammons; a son, Junior Thomas Hammons; six daughters, Linda Lou Hammons, Annett Hammons, Bonnie Lou Mink and husband Harold Dean Jr., Tammy King and husband John Wayne, Judy Kay Hammons, all of Barbourville, and Janie Jordan and hus-band Jeff Douglas of Keavey; a sister, Edna Hammons of Bimble; a brother, Vernon Hammons and wife Randilen of Barbourville; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. Services were conducted Friday, June 27, 2003 in Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joey Ore officiating. Burial was in Tuggle Cemetery at Heidrick. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
