Gladys Hamilton

Mrs. Gladys Hamilton, 91, of Gauley Bridge died Sept. 28, 2006, at her home after an extended illness.

Born March 12, 1915, in Knox County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Jess and Margaret Conley Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Hamilton.

A homemaker, she was a member of Scrabble Creek Holiness Church and Gauley Bridge Senior Citizens.

Surviving are three daughters, Norma Gregory of Louisville, Ky., Peggy Handley of Charleston and Louanna Hamilton of Dunbar; two sons, Donald Hamilton of Alta and Dennis Paul Hamilton of Gauley Bridge; a sister, Betty Aparl of Las Vegas, Nev.; a brother, Earl Johnson of Germantown, Ohio; 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 2, at Scrabble Creek Holiness Church, Gauley Bridge, with the Rev. James B. Whittington, the Rev. Dave Willis and the Rev. Charles Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park, London.

Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Scrabble Creek Holiness Church.
