DOYLE GILBERT, 68, Williamsburg, passed away Friday morning, May 3, 2002 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center, Corbin.

He was a deacon of First Baptist Church; treasurer of First Baptist Church for 17 years; Director of Land Development-Management; Director of Auxiliary Services for Cumberland Lodge & Museum; Business Manager; Lead Project Manager of Campus Development for the past ten years. Honorary alumni of Cumberland College. He dedicated his life to his family, his church and Cumberland College. He believed in strong family values and a dedicated work ethic.

Survivors include his wife, Jolene Gilbert of Williamsburg; one daughter, Kimberly Gilbert of Clinton, Tennessee; four sons, Kyle Gilbert of Williamsburg, Kevin Gilbert and wife, Joy of Nicholasville, Kenneth Gilbert of Mountain City, Tennessee and Keith Gilbert and wife, Sherri of Lexington; five grandchildren, Lindsay Tyson Gilbert, Jesseman Blair Gilbert, Chandler Keith Gilbert, Madison Shae Gilbert, and Hannah Cheyene Gilbert; one brother, Lowell Gilbert of London; one sister, Joyce Yaden of London; also several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 6 at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Harold Mauney, Rev. Kevin Roberts and Dr. James Taylor officiating. Burial was in the Highland Park Cemetery (Croley Addition).
