Crit Gambrel, 69, of Bright Shade, passed away Sunday at Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Hubbard Missionary Baptist Church and a retired custodian for Clay County Board of Education. He is survived by his wife, Esselene Gambrel and children, Barbara Jean Smith, Mill Creek, Paulina Smith, Sand Hill, Carolyn Sue Wirres, Beaver Creek, Ohio, Bonnie Joyce Smith, Manchester and Darrell Lynn Gambrel, Garrard; 12 grand-children; 6 great grandchildren; a brother, R.P. Gambrel; two sisters, Mildred Brown and Darlene Mills, all of Dewitt. Services were conducted Wednesday at Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Russell Jones, Nasby Mills and Herman Mills officiating.
