Mr. Verlon R. Fuson, 71, of Bryants Store, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 27, 2008 athis home. He was a son of the late John Harvey and Mary Etta McCoy Fuson born on July 1, 1937 at Bryants Store. Mr. Fuson was a former General Motors employee and retired from Kaplan Trucking at the age of 62. Mr. Fuson was a member of the Old Poplar Creek Baptist Church and was a regular at the McDonalds Coffee Club. On September 28, 1955, he united in marriage with Wanda Lou Corvin in Cleveland, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by hiswife, Wanda Lou, on December 13, 2005. Survivors include five children, Terry L. Hunter of Garfield Heights, OH, Sharon L. Lumpp and husband, Richard, of Winchester, VA, Victoria L.Kuznicki and husband, Joseph, of Aurora, OH, Verlon R. Fuson Jr. and wife, Debbie, of NelsonLedges, OH and Tabitha A. Long and husband, Scott, of Bryants Store; a sister, Betty Faye Bresenhan of Aurora, OH; 11 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; among other loved ones and dear friends. His funeral service was conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Thursday, July 31 at 11 A.M. with Rev. Terry Broughton officiating. Mr. Fuson was laid to rest in the Ketchen Cemetery. Casket bearers were friends of the family. Serving as an honorary bearer was Arliss Davenport. Arrangements were under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
