Mrs. Madrew H. Faulkner, 98, of Fort Thomas, the widow of Dr. Joseph Stanley Faulkner, passed away Tuesday morning, August 19, 2008 in the Hospice of the Bluegrass Care Center in Fort Thomas. She was a daughter of the late William Mack and Margaret Hagan Hendren born on June 8, 1910 in Danville. Mrs. Faulkner was a homemaker, former schoolteacher and for many years assisted her husband in his medical practice as a nurse. She was a member of the Highland United Methodist Church in Fort Thomas. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer and W. M. Hendren; a sister, Gladys Jackson. Survivors include three sons, Dr. James Donald Faulkner of Cincinnati, OH, Dr. Dale Allen Faulkner and wife, Sandra, of Houston, TX and Dr. William Joseph Faulkner and wife, Carol, of Cincinnati, OH; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Jane Faulkner Pemberton and husband, Bob, of Cincinnati, OH; among other loved ones and dear friends. Her funeral service was conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Saturday, August 23 at 11 A.M. with Rev. Ernie Carmicle officiating. Mrs. Faulkner was laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery. Casket bearers were family and friends. Expressions of sympathy may go to the charity of one�s choice. Arrangements were under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
