FLORETTA JORDAN FARRELL
(1943 - 2008)
Floretta Jordan Farrell, 65, of Corbin, formerly of Barbourville, passed away Sunday morning, September 14, 2008 at her home. She was a daughter of the late Nealie and Renie Messer Jordan born on June 12, 1943 in Knox County.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Springfield Baptist Church. Her interests included collecting roosters, watching NASCAR and WLJC and spending time with her children.

On November 17, 1959, she united in marriage with C. B. Dye in Barbourville and to this union eight children were born.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Tommy Lee Dye and Jean Dye; two brothers, Johnny and Tinsley Jordan; and a sister, Nellie Jean Jordan.

Survivors include six children, Charles Wayne Dye and wife, Elisha, of Lithia Springs, GA, Roger Joe Dye and fianc�, Kelly French, of Powder Springs, GA, Donna Sue Peters of Cartersville, GA, Katie May and husband, Mike, who cared for her of Walker and Carol Osborne and husband, E. G., who also cared for her of Artemus and Lynn Frederick and husband, Ricky, of Artemus; three sisters, Della Marion of Gray, Phyllis Troxell of Deer Park, TX and Nora Taylor and husband, Ernie, of Barbourville; three brothers, Leslie Jordan and wife, Wilma, of Gray, Victor Jordan and wife, Chelsie, of Rutledge, TN and James C. Jordan and wife, Brenda, of Deland, FL; 21 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; among other loved ones and dear friends.

Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, September 19 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Jerry Vaughn and Chaplain Lisa Rutherford officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Paint Hill Community Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be her grandsons. Honorary bearers will be her friends at the Friendship House, Dr. Yumang, Chaplain Lisa Rutherford, Susan Cecil and the Hospice of the Bluegrass.
