| ROCKY EVANS, 23, of Lily, was born on January 31, 1977 in Knox County and departed this life Tuesday, July 4, 2000 in the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. He was the husband of Jennifer (Jones) Evans and the son of Johnny and Sherry Gray. He was employed by Aisin Automotive Casting in Lily, where he was a team leader. On June 10, 1995 he united in marriage with Jennifer Jones and to this union two children were born. Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Evans of Lily; his parents, Johnny and Sherry Gray of Lily; his daughter, Meghan Renee Evans and his son, Rocky Cody Evans, both of Lily; one brother, Robert Evans and wife Sherritta, also of Lily; his maternal grandparents; his paternal grandparents; one nephew; one special aunt; one special uncle; and many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, July 8 at 2 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mark Gilbert and the Rev. Randall Mays officiating. He was laid to rest in the Smith Cemetery at Lily. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
