| GERTIE SHARP ELLIOTT, 79, of Sadieville, formerly of Barbourville, passed away Saturday morning, February 12, 2000 in the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. She was a daughter of the late John Everett and Laura Williams Sharp born on March 22, 1920 in Knox County. Mrs. Elliott was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Barbourville and was presently attending the Sadieville Baptist Church. On February 15, 1945, she united in marriage with Tommy Elliott. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy, on September 10, 1998. Funeral services were conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Tuesday, February 15 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Shane Nickell and the Rev. M.A. Reese officiating. Mrs. Elliott was laid to rest in the Glasscock Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may go to the First Baptist Church of Barbourville in loving memory of Mrs. Elliott.
