Claude Wayne DAVIS
Claude ÒSugÓ Wayne Davis, 62, of Barbourville, passed away sunday, Dec. 18, 2005. He was the son of Alfred Davis and Flossie Mae Thomas Davis. He was a self-employed carpenter and a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam era. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Vaughn Davis; his mother, Flossie Mae Davis; one son, Michael Murphy; five daughters, Claudia Ann Davis Mills and husband Christopher, Joaulonda Lynn Murphy Madon, Tammy Murphy-Liford and husband Keith, Althea Michelle Williamson and husband Timothy and Diana Murphy Jackson; one brother, Billy Ray Davis and wife Wanda; eight grandchildren; one great granddaughter and one step granddaughter.

Services were conducted in Hampton Funeral Home Chapel Thursday, Dec. 22 with the Revs. Sylvester Dunn and Keith Liford officiating. Burial was in Mayhew Cemetery at Barbourville. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
