| DRUCILLA NEWMAN CREIGHTON, 81, of Shepherdsville, formerly of Barbourville, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2000 in the Southwest Hospital in Louisville. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Dora Newman born on February 20, 1919 in Knox County. She was a homemaker. She united in marriage with John Henry Creighton and to this union eight children were born. Survivors include three sons, James Creighton of Heidrick, Bobby Creighton and wife Joan of Shepherdsville and Cloyd Creighton and wife Sarah Lynn of Dewitt; two daughters, Betty Davies and husband Wayne of Dewitt and Geraldine Lunsford of Gray; one sister, Jean Gray and husband Elmer of Artemus; 22 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; among other loved ones and dear friends who mourn her passing. Funeral services were conducted at the Heidrick Holiness Church Saturday, July 1 at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Tommy Frazier officiating. She was laid to rest in the Hembree Cemetery at Heidrick. Knox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
