Carol Ann Prewitt Burdine, 48, Lancaster, formerly of Williamsburg, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2002 at the Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford. She was a homemaker and member of the Buena Vista Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Jerry Burdine of Lancaster; three daughters, Terry Whittaker of Lancaster, Crystal Whittaker of Lancaster, and Lindsey Whittaker of Lancaster; two grandchildren, Bailey Whittaker and Sassy Taylor; her mother, Maurine Ellis Prewitt of Lancaster; one sister, Kay Edgington of Burgin; one brother, Ron Prewitt of Big Stone Gap, Virginia; as well as a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Don Prewitt and grandmother, Myrtle Croley Prewitt. Funeral services were held Thursday, July 25 at the Ramsey Funeral Home in Lancaster with Rev. Larry Harris officiating. Burial was in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Frank Rice, Brian Rice, Michael Prewitt, Bob Dunn, Blue Bailey, and Patrick Stevenson.
