CALLIE PATTON BROWN, 94, of Flat Lick, passed away Saturday April 20, 2002 in the Knox County Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Spencer G. and Cordia Lemons Patton, born on Feb. 4, 1908 at Flat Lick. Mrs. brown was a homemaker and a member of the Hamilton Chapel Baptist Church in Flat Lick. She was united in marriage with George Emory Brown and to this union six children were born.

Survivors include three children, Jack H. Brown and wife Patricia, of Flat Lick, Janet Pittman and and husband C., of Barbourville and Joan Harper and husband, Hugh C., of Heidrick; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Birdie Patton of Barbourville.

Funeral services will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Thursday, April 25, 2002 with the Rev. Charles Tinsley and the Rev. Richard Hill officiating. Mrs. Brown will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Knox Funeral Home.
