Beatrice LEATH BROWN

Beatrice Leath Brown, 73, of Dewitt, Ky., born Nov. 5, 1933 in Knox County, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Leath and Callie Gray. She was previously married to Earl Bingham. She was a member of Dewitt Baptist Church and was employed by the Dollar General Store for 14 years. She enjoyed singing, playing the guitar, sewing and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by one daughter, Shirley Burnett and husband Roy of Dewitt, Ky.; two sisters, Quillie Bingham, Walker, Ky., Joyce Brumett of Tazewell, Tenn.; one brother Johnny Leath Jr. and wife Jane of Hillsboro, Ohio; three grandchildren, Charles Baker and companion Carol of Walker, Ky., Charlotte Burnett and husband Randy of Brices Creek, Ky., Brandon Ray Burnett of Dewitt, Ky.; two great grandchildren, Victoria Maranda Baker, Charles Anthony Baker; two special friends, Sheila Low of Moores Creek and the Hospice nurses. Services were in Hampton Funeral Home Jan. 27, 2007 with the Revs. Earl Hammons and Donnie Mills officiating. Burial was in Binghamtown Cemetery with Charles Baker, Bobby Hensley, Rodney Leath, Rocky Leath serving as pallbearers. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
