Barbara Sue Miller Brown, age 48 of Artemus passed away on Sunday January 27, 2008 at her Residence. Barbara was born on September 16, 1959 in Bell County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Robert Elvin Miller and Rose Mae Hamilton Miller. She was a Homemaker and a member of the Big Brush Creek Missionary Baptist Church. On March 7, 1981 she united in marriage with Jack Brown. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jack Robert Brown Jr.

Barbara is survived by her husband Jack Brown of Artemus. Two sons, Jack Robert Brown and wife Amy of San Diego, California. James Daniel Brown and wife Heather of Girdler, Kentucky. Three Grandchildren, Chante Lee, Kelsi Alexis, and Isaiah; A Father-in-law Milburn Hampton of Davis Bend, Her sisters, Betty Burnette, Thelma Rose Collins, and Connie Lynn Ball and husband John. Two special friends, Joan Powers of Trosper, Kentucky and Betty Gray of Louisville, Kentucky; A special sister-in-law Margaret Hobbs, and Niece Michelle Brown, Melissa Lawson, and Thelma Rose Collins, who helped take care of Barbara during her illness.

Funeral Services for Barbara Sue Miller Brown will be conducted in the Big Brush Creek Missionary Baptist Church on Thursday January 31, 2008 at 2:00pm with Pastor Dale Phipps, Rev. Bill Gray, and Rev. Ray Powers officiating. Interment will follow in the Burch-Alford cemetery at Artemus with Shannon Powers, Michael Butler, Terry Crowbar, Greg Chavies, Aaron Collins, Shawn Burnette, and Travis serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Ryan Stamper, Jack Miller, Special Sister-in-law Margaret Hobbs, and Niece Michelle Brown, Melissa Lawson, and Thelma Rose collins, who helped take care of Barbara during her illness. The Brown family will receive friends at Hopper Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm, and on Thursday at the Big Brush Creek Missionary Baptist Church after 11:00am until the funeral hour at 2:00pm. Arrangements are under the direction of Hopper Funeral Home.
