Dora Bright (November 22, 1916 - October 9, 2008) Dora Bright age 91, of Gray, Kentucky was born on November 22, 1916 in Knox County, Kentucky. She was a daughter of the late Obie Jordan and Susan Mills Jordan. Mrs. Bright died Thursday, October 9, 2008 in the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin. Mrs. Bright was a member of the Poplar Grove Baptist Church and was attending the Merrimac Baptist Church. She united in marriage to Clarence Bright. Her husband, Clarence, Son, James Bright, Grandson who she raised as a son, Mike Hubbard, Daughters; Pauline Steenbergen and Opal Sears and several sisters and brothers all preceded her in death. Surviving Mrs. Bright her loving children; Donald Bright and wife, Faye; and Kathy Glenn all of Gray, Kentucky; many dear and loving grandchildren, great grandhchildren and great great grandchildren; her brothers; Bert Jordan of Cawood, Kentucky and step-brother; Victor Jordan of Washington State. Funeral services for Dora Bright will be conducted at the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday October 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Danny Smtih officiating. Burial will follow in the Obie Mills Cemetery in Knox County, with Grandsons and Great Grandsons serving as pallbearers. Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home Saturday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and after 10:00 a.m. Sunday until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Hopper Funeral Home. |
