Dorothy Branum Mrs. Dorothy Branum, age 86 of Bryants Store, KY departed this life on Sunday, January 13, 2008 in the Barbourville Nursing Home. She the widow of Clyde Branum, and the daughter of Will Fynn McCoy & Rosetta (Killion) McCoy, born to them in Knox Co. on October 07, 1921. Mrs. Branum believed in the Baptist faith and was a member of the Little Popular Creek Baptist Church. She also loved to quilt & bake and had previously been a nurses aid in Indiana for 24 years. In addition to her husband Clyde & parents Will and Rosetta, she is preceded in death by her five sons, Roy, Lee, Thomas, Allen and Louie Branum, three daughters Darlene Lange, Glenda June Branum and Velma Branum, three brothers Ben, Frank and A.J. McCoy, four sisters Mary King, Goldie Hall, Jane Branum and one infant baby sister. Survivors include, two daughters Phyllis Hardin of Bryant Store, Ky. and Wanda Dillingham Jackson of Bryant Store, Ky., two brothers John L. McCoy & wife Joyce of Scipio, Ind. & Fynn McCoy & wife Loretta of Brown County, IN, two sisters Alene Joyce & husband �Loag� of Scipio, IN., sixteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Mrs. Branum also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Branum will be conducted on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at 12:00 noon in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeffery Branum & Rev. Terry Broughton officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Interment will be in the Ketchen Cemetery at Bryant Store. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements. |
