Shirley Bolton Gosney nee Brock, age 67, passed away Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio after a long illness. She was surrounded with family and friends at her time of passing. She leaves behind eight children, all in the tri-state area: daughters, Terri Gallichio, Janice Davidson, Shirley Cheryl Randolph, Linda Bruin, Tracy Hatter and Janet Kay Bolton-Cress; and her sons, Leamon Ray and Glen Bolton. She also cherished two marriages in her precious lifetime: Leamon Bolton, father of all her children and to Edward Eddie Gosney. She loved her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Laphenia Smitty, Jackie Ridener, Phyllis Elam, Pat Taylor and Peggy Hoskins; one brother, Leland Brock; and her devoted lifetime friend, Joyce Howard. On behalf of her family, a personal thank you to her doctors and the staff at Christ Hospital. Visitation will be this Friday at O'Neil Funeral Home in Corbin at 11 a.m. The funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. ith final resting at Corinth Cemetery. Shirley Mom will continue to live in our hearts. It's truly been an honor to call her "Mom." We all know that more than anything else, "She Loved." The O'Neil Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
