LOLA MILLS BAKER, 77, of mills, died Saturday, April 27, 2002 in the Barbourville Nursing Home. She was a daughter of the late Nasby Benjamin and Elizabeth Jackson Mills, born to them on Dec. 28,1924 at mills. Mrs. Baker was a retired employee of the Gross Pointe, Michigan board of education and a member of the Salem Baptist church. On February 19, 1946, she united in marriage to Oliver Baker, and to this union three daughters were born. Mrs. Baker is survived by her daughters, Rather Palmer and husband Kenneth of Oliver Springs, Tenn. and Bonnie Stevens of Mills; her three grandchildren.

Funeral services for Lola Mills Baker will be conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, May 2, 2002 with the Rev. Earl Hammons officiating. Burial will be in the Mills Cemetery at Mills.

The Baker family will receive friends at the Hopper Funeral Home from 6 until 9 p.m. on Wednesday and after 11 a.m. Thursday until the funeral hour. Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
