Denver Baker

Denver Baker, 64, of Corbin, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2005 at his home. He was a son of the late George Baker and Cleo Shelton Baker. He was a member of Living Waters Pentecostal Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served five years during the Vietnam War. He was retired from Pineville Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Baker; three sons, Joshua and Jason Baker and Denver Stacy Baker and wife Juanita; two daughters, Lettie Jo Vaughn and husband the Rev. Lloyd Rodney Vaughn and Shannon Gray and husband Roger; six grandchildren; three brothers, Homer Baker, Allen Baker and Matthew Baker; two sisters, Sarah Edge and Effie Baker.

Services were conducted in Hampton Funeral Home Chapel Friday, Sept. 30 with the Revs. Charlie Humfleet and Bob Combs officiating. Burial was in Goins Cemetery in the Horse Creek Community. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
