This Indenture made and entered into this the 5th day of May 1879 between H.C. Brown Commission appointed by the Hickman County Court to make deeds and convey titles in an action in said court by William C. Lewis and others against William F. Davis and others for the division of the lands belonging to the heirs of Noah Davis deceased of the first part and William F. Davis of the second part Witnesseth, that whereas by order of said court a division of said lands has been made by commissioners and their report confirmed and the said H.C. brown has been appointed to make deeds to the persons now therefore the said H.C. Brown by the power and authority in him vested does by these presents for and in behalf of Ada E. Lewis, Noah L. Davis, Mallie C. Davis and Samantha E. Davis do grant bargain sell and convey and set apart unto the said William F. Davis a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county of Hickman and State of Kentucky it being Lot No. 3 in the Division by Commissioners and bounded as follows to wit: Beginning at a sumac with two red oak pointers thence east 92 poles to a post thence north 26 poles to a post with hickory pointers thence west 92 poles to a post with sassafras and red oak pointers thence south 26 poles to the beginning containing 15 acres Also Lot No. 303 in said Division Beginning a post SE corner to no. 2-2 thence east 20 poles to a post thence north 80 poles to a post thence west 20 poles to a post thence south 80 poles to the beginning containing 10 acres. Also Lot No. 3-3-3 in said division beginning at a post corner to quarter section thence south 20 poles to a post, thence east 52 poles to post with red oak pointers thence South 60 poles to a post thence east 29 poles to a post thence north 80 poles to a post with three hickory pointers thence west 81 poles to the beginning containing 21 acres to have and to hold the same unto the said William F. Davis his heirs and assigns forever with warranty against all persons claiming by or through the heirs of Noah Davis deceased. In testimony whereof the said H.C. Brown Com’r as aforesaid has hereunto set his name the day and date above written. H.C. Brown Commissioner

State of Kentucky, Hickman County} I, Smith R. Taylor Clerk of the County Court for said county do certify that on the 5th day of May 1879 the foregoing deed was produced in open court and acknowledged by H.C. Brown the Commissioner to be his act and deed and said deed being examined by the court is affirmed and ordered to be recorded and that said deed with this certificate and the certificate of the Judge of the Hickman County Court has been duly recorded in my office.
