John Busby mortgage to N.F. Davis
Know all men by these presents that I John Busby of the County of Hickman and Commonwealth of Kentucky has this day mortgaged and sold unto N.F. Davis of the County and State aforesaid the following described property viz; one sorrel horse about eight years old, one sow and pigs and all of my present crop of every description consisting of tobacco, corn and c. To have and to hold the same unto the said N.F. Davis his heirs and assigns, forever.

The conditions of the above bargain and sale are as follows; whereas I the said John Busby have this day executed to the said N.F. Davis my promissory note for the sum of one hundred and sixty dollars and sixty four dollars which note bears even date with these presents and is due and payable one day after date. Now if the said Busby shall well and truly pay off and discharge said note on or by the 25 day of December next then this mortgage to be null and void otherwise to remain in full force and virtue. Given under my hand this 19th day of March 1860.

State of Kentucky, Hickman County Seat} I, E.R. Ray, clerk of the county court for the county aforesaid do certify that the foregoing mortgage from John Busby to N.F. Davis was on the 19th day of March 1860 produced to me in my office and acknowledged by said Busby to be his act and deed and said deed with this certificate has been duly recorded in my office this 26 day of March 1860.
