Newspapers play a very important role in genealogical research because of
the vast amount of information contained in them. Obituaries are a
very informative part, though not always accurate because the information
was obtained from someone close, they are as important as the death
certificate. So keep in mind that we cannot rely on these sources
alone.
Most of these obituaries were transcribed or submitted by Beulah
Wiley Franks and I have included those links here so that you might be able
to find your ancestors. I will make certain to mark any and all that
came from any other source, since the majority of them (over 3,000 links)
came from Beulah alone. (There are a few duplications on this list,
however, they are different articles). Way to go Beulah, what a
wonderful thing for you to put out there for researchers. If you enjoy
