Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, 5th ed., 1887, Woodford Co. J. E. YEAGLE was born April 22, 1844, and is the second son of J. E. and E. J. (Black) Yeagle, of Woodford County. J. E. Yeagle, the senior, is still living, and is a farmer and carpenter, but Mrs. E. J. (Black) Yeagle is dead. Edward Yeagle, grandfather of J. E. Yeagle, the younger, was a native of Virginia. J. E. Yeagle, whose name heads this brief sketch, was born in Mercer County, and was married, January 23, 1872, to Miss Bettie Hyden, a native of Woodford County, daughter of James and Elizabeth (Hawkins) Hyden. To Mr. and Mrs. Yeagle have been born five children, of whom but two are living: Roy and Mary E.
