Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, 5th ed., 1887, Woodford Co. ISAAC W. WILSON was born December 9, 1846, and is the fifth son of Benjamin and Eliza (Davis) Wilson. Benjamin Wilson was born in Woodford County, was a farmer and carpenter, and the son of Jeremiah Wilson, a native of Virginia and a soldier of the Revolutionary war. Isaac W. Wilson was reared on a farm and educated in the common schools of his native county of Woodford; at the age of twenty he entered a store and clerked four years; in 1874 he opened a general store on his own account in Mortonsville, conducted it five years, and then resumed farming and stock raising, now owning 283 acres in Clover Bottom Precinct. September 14, 1869, he married Miss Blanch, daughter of George S. and Martha A. (McCabe) Moseley, of Jessamine County. This lady was educated at Richmond, Madison County, and to her union with Mr. Wilson there have been born three children: George B., Blanche and Maxie C.
