MORRIS was born in Woodford County, Ky., February 29, 1844, and is the third son of William M. and Priscilla (Collins) Morris. William Morris, the grandfather of Samuel C., was born in Virginia. Samuel C. Morris was reared on a farm in Woodford County, and educated at the common schools. February 26, 1880, he married Miss Rebecca Curry, of Alabama, daughter of Jackson Curry. Four children have been born to this union: William M., Curry S., Ella L. and Marion C. Mr. Morris is a member of the Christian Church, but his wife of the Baptist.
