Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, 5th ed., 1887, Woodford Co. MOSES C. GUYN was born March 14, 1805, and is the sixth son of Robert and Jane (Black) Guyn. Robert Guyn was a native of Virginia, and his father, likewise named Robert, was also born in that State. Moses C. Guyn was reared on the home farm and educated at the common schools of his native county of Woodford. He now owns 425 acres in Clover Bottom Precinct, under good cultivation. He married, September 12, 1833, Miss Ann, daughter of John and Martha (McGill) Black, and of the nine children born to this union but four are now living: John C., who married Lizzie Young; William R., who married Sarah Guyn; Charles C. and Angus G.
