MRS. ANN R. FOGG, a native of Woodford County, is a daughter of Samuel and
Elizabeth (Read) Ware.  July 21, 1883, she married Elijah Fogg, who was
born in Woodford County, July 23, 1803, and was the only son of Obadiah
and Elizabeth (Shipp) Fogg.  Elijah Fogg was a carpenter, at which trade
he was employed until 1840, and then engaged in farming until his death.
He and wife were parents of eight children; six are living: Elizabeth
(married to Anderson Chenault, and had six children: Agnes, Christopher,
Samuel, Jephtha, Elijah and Emma), Samuel W. (who married Fanny Gaines,
and became the father of five children: Anna, Jennie, Fannie, William and
Lucy), Agnes (who was married to Thomas Steele), Anna (who was married to
W. G. Welch, and had three children: Anna, Murray and Gipson), Virginia
(who was married to Oakley Thompson, and had four children: Edwin, Barbara,
Virginia and Oakley) and Richard J. (who married Miss Susie, daughter of
Isham and Sarah (Hall) Hawkins, and had born to him two children: Sadie W.
and Willie C.)  Elijah Fogg died a member of the Christian Church, of
which Mrs. Ann R. Fogg and all her children are also members.  Mrs. Fogg
owns 127 acres in Millville Precinct and keeps the farm in a good state
of cultivation.
