WILLIAM IRVIN ARNOLD, the eldest son of John W. and Catherine (Garrette) Arnold was born in Woodford County, September 21, 1846. John W. Arnold was also born in Woodford County in 1823; has been engaged in farming all his life, and for several years served as justice of the peace. He is a son of Wyatt Arnold, who was born in Virginia, but at an early day settled in Woodford County, Ky. William I. Arnold was reared a farmer and was educated at Georgetown (Ky.) College. October 10, 1867, he married Miss Florida, daughter of Harrison and Rebecca (Webb) Rowland, of Woodford County, and to this union have been born three children: John H. George, Robert K. and Wilhelmina. Mr. Arnold is the owner of 454 acres in Mortonsville Precinct, and is employed in farming and stock raising. With his wife he is a member of the Baptist Church.
