H. C. SWEENEY was born in November, 1843, and is the son of Charles 
Sweeney.  His parents were natives of Virginia; immigrated to Kentucky 
about the year 1840, and settled in Lincoln County, and shortly 
afterward removed to this county.  H. C. managed his father's farm for 
many years, but recently has purchased a farm of his own on Gaspar 
River, which is well improved and in an excellent state of cultivation.  
He married, in 1881, Mrs. Conatser, widow of the late William Conatser, 
and daughter of John B. Wade, of Allen County.  They have one child, 
Annie.  Mr. Sweeney is a Democrat.
