LUTE SMITH. Hon. L. T. Smith is a native of Kentucky.  He came to 
Tennessee many years ago and engaged in farming and in the practice of 
law.  He has been in active practice for forty years, and is now a 
leading member of the Jamestown bar, and has a wide practice covering 
both criminal and chancery cases.
	He represented his district in the State Senate in the 80's.  He 
has probably drafted more legislation for his county than any other man 
now living.  He is a democrat in politics.
