While attending Murray State College the subject worked in the College Bowling Alley, and sharpened his skill and love for bowling. Subject returned home from college and went to work at the Pantry, a convenience store/gas station. The subject then left that job and went to work hauling seed corn for during the summer months to various farms in KY and across the border into Tennessee. He has also fried chicken and made doughnuts at another convenience store in Sturgis, KY called Fill-Em-UP. Subject has worked at Meacham's Ham during the winter months to help out with cutting, packaging, and shipping of hams across the country in time for Christmas. And the subject has worked as a weekend Disc Jockey at WMSK Country Radio Station in Morganfield, Union County, Ky. In 1984 he met his future wife, Scarlett Maria DeMoss, daughter of James Allan DeMoss and Anna Lee (Owens) DeMoss of Dekoven, Union County, KY, and they were married June 28, 1985 in the Dekoven Community Building in Dekoven, Ky. The wedding was to be an outside wedding, but rain prevented that so it had to be moved at the last minute to the reception area. George and Scarlett, or Tim and Maria as they were called, set up housekeeping in Sturgis, KY on Old Providence Road, renting half a house from an elderly acquaintance of the wife's family. September 1985 Tim joined the United States Air Force. At the end of January he left for basic training in San Antonio, Texas. After completing the six weeks of basic training, he was then sent to Biloxi, Mississippi to learn his job of computer programming. He lived in Biloxi, MS from March 1986 until June 1986. His wife joined him in Biloxi at the end of March. From Mississippi he was then sent to work at Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth, Texas at the 436th Training Squadron. While at Carswell Air Force Base, his first child, a daughter, Laken Nicole Troutman was born in March 1987. He arrived there on June 23, 1986 and remained there until Feb. 22, 1993 at which time the base was closed and he was transferred to Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, Texas. Besides working for the Air Force, he did volunteer one semester to help tutor students at a local school, he took a couple of college classes, and worked part time in the evenings at the Bowling Alley on base. The subject loves to bowl and before leaving Ft. Worth, was involved with 2 leagues and was also acting as Bowling Secretary for one of the leagues. In Abilene he lived outside the city limits in a small town called Buffalo Gap, Texas, a small community that was safe. While at Dyess, his 2nd child was born, a son, Cory Alexander Troutman in March 1995. At Dyess AFB, he also worked with the 436th Training Squadron. While in Abilene, once again, he took up a part time job of working at the Bowling Alley at the base. When he wasn't working at the Bowling Alley, he was bowling again, as he had joined two leagues again, this time getting his wife to join him on both leagues. He remained at Dyess until he received orders for a move in June 1996. He sold his home in September 1996 and his wife and children went to her mother's home in Ky. He remained in Texas for a few weeks, tying up the loose ends before moving on. He arrived in KY to visit on October 11, 1996. November 4, 1996 Tim and wife and children left from St. Louis, Missouri and flew to Frankfurt, Germany to begin his 4 year tour overseas. He is stationed at Ramstein Air Base and works for USAFE Squadron, still working with computers. At the current time, the subject is living in Schopp, Germany, but is expecting to move to base housing by the end of summer. Subject hopes to return to a base near his home in Kentucky upon his return in four years to the states.
