Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, 6th ed., 1887, Trimble Co. SETH W. LOGAN was born in Henry County, October 25, 1832, to Joseph A. and Charlotte (Duncan) Logan. He is the second of a family of nine children, was educated at the common schools of Trimble County, and has since been engaged in farming and stock raising. He began a poor boy, but by industry and good management has gained a considerable share of the world's goods, owning a farm of 489 acres, one of the best improved places in the county, and is considered one of the leading farmers. He married, December 23, 1858, Charlotte T. Ford, daughter of Schuyler and Sarah (Burton) Ford. Mrs. Logan was born in Madison County, Ky., in 1839, and bore her husband one child, Jerry Duncan, who was born February 11, 1863, and died April 13, 1865. Mr. Logan is a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church South and also of the F. & A. M. Politically he is a Democrat.
