TANDY was born in Spotsylvania County, Va., October 28, 1809, where she was reared, and on the 16th of December, 1824, was married to Henry, son of Henry Tandy, of Orange County, Va., who was born in 1800; removed to Todd County, Ky., 1825, where he died in 1848. To them were born: John H., Mary E. (Hall) and Oscar E. Subject's father, John Davis, was born in Virginia, died 1826, aged forty-eight years. His wife, Mary (Pendleton), was born in Virginia; died in 1844, age sixty-nine years. Their children are: Subject, as above, and Mary E., wife of Dr. N. M. Tandy, of Todd County. Mrs. Sara [sic] is engaged in farming, having 306 acres of good land on West Fork. She is a member of the Bethel Baptist Church.
