KINCHELOE was born in Spencer County, Ky., February 26, 1843, the eldest of a family of five born to A.C. and E.S. (Buckner) Kincheloe. A.C. was born in Spencer County, Ky., and has always been engaged in agricultural pursuits. He is a son of Jesse Kincheloe, who was born in Virginia. Mrs. E. S. Kincheloe was born in Spencer County, Ky., a daughter of M.V. and Rhoda (Stillwell) Buckner. M.V. Buckner was born in Virginia, and at the age of one year moved with his parents to North Carolina, and in 1804 immigrated to Kentucky, and settled in Green County, where he remained only a short time, and then moved to Spencer County. Our subject was educated at the common schools. In 1868 he moved to Shelby County, Ky., and engaged in agricultural pursuits until 1875, then went to Henderson County, Ky., and was appointed cashier and chief deputy revenue collector, which position he held, giving universal satisfaction, until 1885. He then returned to Spencer County, and has since been engaged in agricultural pursuits. He married, January 19, 1881, Miss Tillie Huston, of Henderson County, Ky., a lady distinguished for her beauty and many fine qualities. She is a daughter of Capt. W.W. and Sophie (Woodruff) Huston. Capt. W.W. Huston was born in Louisville, Ky., and for years was a steamboat captain. One children was born to this union, Sophie. Mr. Kincheloe is politically a Republican. He owns 300 acres of fine land. Mrs. Kincheloe is a strict member of the Presbyterian Church.
