MITCHELL - James and Magaretta Mitchell were married in the first half of
the Eighteenth century, and lived first in North Carolina and then to
South Carolina where they amassed wealth.  Margaretta was the daughter of
Ephraim McDowell, who sailed from Ireland on the George and Ann and
settled in Pennsylvania in 1729.  Charles Married Mary Barnett of Flavanna
County, Va., and came to Shelby County, Ky.  the son of Charles and
grandson of James were cousins - I know not whether, first, second or
third.  I do not know if James had any siblings or what nationality he
was.
