WILLIAM C. HANNA was born where he now lives in Shelby County, Ky.,
February 18, 1808, and is a son of Thomas and Margarette (Smith) Hanna.
He married Agnes Morton, daughter of William and Elizabeth (Venable)
Morton, May 18, 1837, and to this union nine children were born, five of
whom are now living: John S., Charles M., Elizabeth., Margarette J. and
Agnes W.
